SUMMARY:POEMA Student Creative Camp
DESCRIPTION:Creative 9th-12th graders\, join us for POEMA 2023! POEMA is a weeklong creative intensive of day camps that runs from July 24th-28th. During this creative camp\, students will hear talks from Christian artists\, work on creative projects in studio time\, and engage in critique sessions and group discussion on faith and the arts. On Friday\, July 28th\, students will put on a creative showcase to display or perform their creative projects for friends and family! This year’s theme focuses on the Parables of Jesus. \nThe week’s schedule runs as follows: Monday-Thursday\, 9am-12:30pm; Friday\, 3pm-9pm (setup\, dinner celebration\, and showcase event). \nStudents who have completed 9th-12th grade in the 2022-2023 school year are welcome to apply to POEMA. SUMMARY:High School + College West Virginia Mission Trip
DESCRIPTION:Help us demonstrate God’s love to the community of Beverly\, West Virginia from July 27-30! Rising 11th & 12th graders are partnering with the College Ministry to lead a Kids Camp and construction projects in Beverly\, West Virginia. Join us to make a difference in others’ lives as we meet physical maintenance needs\, play games and share Jesus with elementary kids\, and host a Community BBQ! \nWe will depart from Burke Community Church during the day on Thursday\, July 27 and return by late afternoon on Sunday\, July 30. The registration cost of $100 covers the cost of transportation\, housing\, and meals in West Virginia. Students should bring additional money for meal stops on the way to and from Beverly.
